The Mexican rider Santiago Lambre was unstoppable to carry the victory at the $50,000 Great Lakes Grand Prix CSI 2* in Michigan.

Guided a group of 6 riders classified in the jump-off, Santiago Lambre perfectly figured out the different questions and a technical course design by Brazilian Guilherme Jorge.

Stopping the clock in 37.82 seconds, Santiago Lambre added his third FEI victory and his first 2017 FEI Grand Prix, in addition to adding 50 World Ranking Points, where he is already in the select group of the 100 best riders. Introducing himself to the 9-year-old gelding Dingeman (Nintender x Darnels) owned by Lambre, the Mexican rider surpassed the German Wilhelm Genn by 1.05 seconds.

Remaining second after escorting Andrew Kocher two days ago, Wilhelm Genn along with the 11-year-old gelding Bugatti (Heartbreaker x Pilot) owned by Eduardo Leon, recorded a time of 38.87 seconds and for the third place the American rider Meagan Nusz with the 14-year-old mare Waomi (Lupicor x Boreas) owned by Amalaya Investments, completed her course in 39.14 seconds.

For the Latino Ranking led by Mexican Santiago Lambre, who also occupied the ninth place, had the Venezuelan rider Alejandro Karolyi finishing within the points in tenth place with the 14-year-old gelding Willow (Guidam x Little Rock) owned by Amalaya Investments.
