Former World Ranking Leader and World Number 19 Scott Brash of Great Britain was unsurpassed in the €30,000 Gold 4 Grand Prix of MET Oliva 2018.

Concluding the first week of 2018 Mediterranean Equestrian Tour, the Olympic medalist Scott Brash showed his great quality in the jump-off round with the 9-year-old gelding Hello Mr President (Comme d’Api JR) owned by Lady P Harris & Lady P Kirkham, completing his journey in 38.75 seconds.

Under course design of Italian Elio Travagliati for 39 pairings and the tiebreaker round with 7 riders led by Scott Brash, the winner assured the winner 50 World Ranking Points, surpassing in a closed final effective Irish rider Conor Swail and his 10-horse-year gelding Domino van de Valhoeve (Lord Z x Concorde), marking a time of 39.40 seconds.

The double clear round extended to fourth place with Valentine Belooussoff of France ranked third with the 11-year-old gelding Calou (Roven x Lauriston) in 42.69 seconds and Laura Roquet Puignero of Spain finishing fourth with the 11-year-old mare Sandi Puigroq (Diamant de Semilly) in 43.66 seconds.

By the Latin Ranking stood out Brazilian rider Caio Carvalho Filho finishing fifth, completing his jump-off round in 4 fouls and 41.01 seconds with the 12-year-old mare Sun Flower du Theil (Allegreto x Quidam de Revel) to ensure 30 World Ranking Points. For his part, the Latin Ranking Leader Pedro Veniss of Brazil did not achieve his tiebreaker classification, after he knocked down a pole in his regular round occupying the 11th place with the 12-year-old mare Anaya Ste Hermelle (Andiamo x Paladin des Ifs), while his fellowman Sergio Neuppmann Junior was out of the points in the 19th place, exceeding the time and totaling 5 fouls accompanied by the 11-year-old mare Chicca Blue (Chacco-Blue x Carthago).
