Irish rider Shane Breen was the fastest in the CSI4* Liverpool International Horse Show speed class, getting his first win.
After yesterday escorting the Egyptian rider Sameh El Dahan, today things were reversed when Shane Breen was the winner and was escorted by Sameh El Dahan, introducing the Irish rider with the 9-year-old mare Csf Vendi Cruz (Ars Vivendi x Cruising) and stopping the clock in 52.96 seconds.
Assuring Shane Breen 50 World Ranking Points with his first victory in the €24,600 Gornall Equestrian, the second place was shared with British Julie Andrews, who got the same time of 54.30 seconds than the Egyptian, appearing with the 14-year-old gelding Wilando B (Oklund x Topas) and Sameh El Dahan did it with the 14-year-old mare Championes (Come ON x Kenwood).
They followed in the final order by Amanda Derbyshire of Great Britain occupying fourth place with the 11-year-old mare Lady Maria BH (Cartani x Corrado I) in time of 54.70 seconds and fifth place British Jamie Wingrove in time of 55.00 seconds with the 11-year-old gelding Bart VI (Lord Z x Levantos).
The American rider Andrew Kocher participated by Pan American Ranking riders, accumulating 16 fouls and placing himself in a distant 28th place with the 10-year-old mare Colette (Vincenzo x Heartbreaker).
