The first day of the CSI 5* Jumping International of Bordeaux, had its world reference Simon Delestre, ex-number 1 in the world and current number 5 of the FEI World Ranking, obtaining the victory in the Price of French Tour Generali that distributed 62,000 Euros.
Marking the rhythm in the speed class, Delestre presented with the 12-year-old stallion Chadino (Chacco-Blue x Narew XX) owned by Jasmine Busson, achieving a time of 58.18 seconds. The result allowed the French rider to add 80 World Ranking points to his account for the month of February plus 20,460 Euros for the first place.
Second place was Dutchman Maikel van der Vleuten and VDL Groep Arera C (Indoctro x Voltaire), a 12-year-old mare owned by J.J.A.C.Cop recording a time of 59.34 seconds on his course, while the third was Irishman Dennis Lynch with the 14-year-old stallion All Star 5 (Argentinus x Alme) owned by Lynch and Thomas Straumann, stopping the clock in 60.37 seconds.
For the Latin Ranking only participated Colombian Carlos López was out of the World Ranking points finishing in the 27th place with the 10-year-old mare Cuplandra (Upgrade x Metall) owned by S.A.S. Haras Des Grillons, totaling 5 fouls in 72.66 seconds.
