Japan’s Taizo Sugitani secured 50 World Ranking Points with his victory today at €25,000 Casa Rusu of CSI3* Herneacova in Romania.
Starting with a total of 28 pairs, only 12 would return to Michel Ismalun’s jump-off course design, where Taizo Sugitani completed his round in 40.30 seconds with the 10-year-old gelding Chopard 19 (Colandro).
Following his second 2017 FEI victory, Taizo Sugitani led a disputed class where the top five finishers would completed in double clear round, being escorted in second place by Gabor Szabó Jr. of Hungary in 40.50 seconds with the 12-year-old mare Timpex Bolcsesz (Timpex Cabale), third place for Zuzana Zelinkova of the Czech Republic in 43.41 seconds next to the 14-year-old stallion Caleri II (Calido I), fourth place by Dieter Köfler of Austria in 44.16 seconds with the 14-year-old gelding Askaban (Armitage) and fifth-place Ionut Ursache of Romania recording a time of 44.29 seconds with the 10-year-old stallion Cashmere 31 (Contendro II).
