The American rider Taylor Land take the first FEI victory in her career, after leading the $35,000 Welcome Stake CSI 3*.

Being the sixth week of activity at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, the world number 796 Taylor Land surpassed a group of 23 pairs on course designed by Michel Vaillancourt of Canada, to take 50 World Ranking Points.

Registering a time of 69.47 seconds, Taylor Land commanded the speed class with the 17-year-old stallion Forsyth For Edition (Forsyth FRH x Leggiero) overcoming also American Kady Abrahamson and her 12-year-old mare Charline 28 (Cellestial x Prinz Oldenburg).

Completed the top five finishes German rider Wilhelm Genn in third place with the 11-year-old gelding Bugatti (Heartbreaker x Pilot), fourth place was US Michael Morrissey with the 11-year-old mare La Lopez 3 (Lenardo x Landstreicher) and fifth place for Australian rider Scott Keach with the 10-year-old gelding Chicco W (Cabardino x Rio Grande).

For the Latino Ranking Colombian rider Ilan Bluman, who managed to score World Ranking Points with his result next to 8-year old gelding Enzo (Verdi TN x Amethist) was outstanding. Also his country man Roberto Terán figured and secured points in eighth place with the 8-year-old gelding Entano (Namelus R x Numero Uno), while Puerto Rican rider Freddie Vazquez closed the classification with points in 16th place next to the 15-year-old stallion Bachelor 4 (Baloubet du Rouet x Grosso Z).
