The closing day at CSI5* Jumping du Chateau de Versailles started with the Prix Renault dispute and again with leading role for home riders. This time a repeat of the week Julien Epaillard, who again added 50 World Ranking points with his victory in company of 11-year-old mare Safari D Auge (Diamant de Semilly x Marques du Grimeux SF).
No doubt in the different speed classes for French rider Julien Epaillard, completed his course in 59.41 seconds, beating also for second time in a row Dutchman Harrie Smolders, who was now only 29 hundredths of a second above. With 13-year-old gelding Zinius (Nabab de Reve x Kannan), Smolders took 45 FEI Ranking points, aiming to secure best results in this month, among in World Top 10.
For Latino Ranking Pedro Veniss of Brazil finished in third place, getting 40 World Ranking points in a very good exhibition next to 12-year-old mare For Felicila (For Pleasure x Espri), stoping the clock in 62.12 seconds. Another Brazilian entered to the arena, but running lesser luck than his compatriot for Rodrigo Pessoa, who ranked 18th in a field of 4 fouls with 12-year-old gelding Iron Chin VH Achterhoe (Bentley van de Heffinck x Catando Z).
The fight between top 5 finishers stayed close with fourth place for Lauren Hough of United States in 62.29 seconds and fifth was former World No. 1 Christian Ahlmann of Germany in 62.68 seconds.
