German Olympic medalist Marcus Ehning finished undefeated at CSI3* Paderborn by winning the €75,000 Grand Prix of Paderborn, shining at home with his results.
After winning yesterday’s the €30,000 Championat von Paderborn, today repeated the same dose Marcus Ehning, completing a formidable second round in 41.83 seconds with the 12-year-old stallion Comme Il Faut (Cornet Obolensky x Ramiro), a result that allowed him add 80 World Ranking Points.
Being world number 18 at the moment, Marcus Ehning followed perfectly to his strategy in a course designed by Christian Wiegand surpassing to the group that disputed the Two Rounds, which would be a clear dominion on part by house riders, who occupied the first eight places.
The second position was for Hans-Dieter Dreher accompanied by the 9-year-old mare Berlinda (Berlin x Gento) registering a time of 42.57 seconds and Toni Hassmann seized the third place in 43.13 seconds with the 11-year-old gelding Bien-Aimee De La Lionne (Balou du Rouet x Pit I).
Completed the Top 5 Heiko Schmidt in fourth place alongside the 13-year-old stallion Chap (Celestial x Contender) in 44.77 seconds and the great German reference of show jumping Ludger Beerbaum, finished fifth with the 11-year-old gelding Chacon (Chacco-Blue x Aventyno) in the time of 45.73 seconds.
Only participated by Pan American Ranking Chloe Reid of the United States, occupying the 20th place and making only the first round with the 12-year-old gelding Adamo (Lupicor x Ekstein).
