Team Valkenswaard United took the victory in the 11th leg of the Global Champions League, discounting before the leaders Hamburg Diamonds.
Currently in second place in the overall standings, Valkenswaard United made up of Italian rider Alberto Zorzi and Irish rider Bertram Allen, completed a week with a total of 4 fouls, the same amount as the current leader Hamburg Diamonds, which have dominated this 2017 the new format for the teams competition.
Attaining a first competition with clear round and accumulated time of 130.24 seconds, Alberto Zorzi along with the 11-year-old gelding Cornetto K (Cornet Obolensky) obtained another clear round for the second competition, that united to the 4 faults of Bertram Allen with the 9-year-old gelding Izzy By Picobello (Cicero Z), recorded the final time of 120.47 seconds, being 3 seconds faster than his opponents.
The Hamburg Diamonds finished in 4 fouls and accumulated time of 123.76 seconds with the participation of the Canadian rider Eric Lamaze with the 11-year-old gelding Chacco Kid (Chacco-Blue) completing double clear round and the Dutch rider Jos Verlooy accompanied by the 9-year-old gelding Igor (Emerald Van’t Ruytershof) recorded 4 fouls in his second competition.
They were followed by the top five in Berlin, London Knights with 8 fouls in 113.30 seconds, Rome Gladiators was fourth with 8 fouls in 115.58 seconds and fifth place by St Tropez Pirates accumulating 8 fouls in 115.80 seconds .
After 11 legs Hamburg Diamonds leaders totaling 221 points, Valkenswaard United seconds with 213 points, Mexico Amigo third with 188 points, St Tropez Pirates fourth with 183 points and fifth place Doha Fursan Qatar with 164 points.
