Swiss Olympic team member Werner Muff got his first CSI3* Verbier victory, guiding the one-two-three for the home riders.
Presenting with the 9-year-old gelding Cornet MM (Cornet Obolensky), Werner Muff sealed his first win of the week at home with a time of 37.23 seconds and completing a resounding final as the Swiss took the top three places with Pierre Kolly next to 11-year-old gelding Corvall (Corrado I x Lavall II) in 38.90 seconds and Florence Schwizer-Seydo with the 9-year-old mare Delphi (Ukato x Calvados) in 41.97 seconds.
With the Werner Muff’s result obtained, secured 50 World Ranking Points leading a jump-off round with 18 riders in a course design by Gerard Lachat.
By the Pan American Ranking American Taylor Alexander obtained the fastest time of the jump-off in 36.54 seconds with the 12-year-old stallion Ryanair of Riverland (Quick Star x Papillon Rouge), but they demolished a pole to totalize 4 faults occupying the seventh place.
