William Funnell of the United Kingdom retaliated his way at CSI3* Canteleu, winning the €24,600 Prix Département de Seine-Maritime in France.
Staying very close to victories in previous FEI events, William Funnell secured the best time on the course designed by Gregory Bodo, securing 50 World Ranking Points with the 14-year-old gelding Billy Angelo (Siena x Kroongraaf).
For second place Glenn Knoester of the Netherlands finished in 63.67 seconds with the 12-year-old gelding Alpicor (Lupicor x Indoctro), while the house rider took from the third to the eleven place, was commanded by Damien de Chambord together to the 8-year-old mare Viti de Longa (Contendro I x Galoubet A) in third with a time of 64.11 seconds.
Continued to complete the Top 5 Edward Levy in fourth place with the 11-year-old mare Starlette from La Roque (Jumpy des Fontaines x Kannan) in 64.13 seconds and fifth Emeric George with the 12-year-old gelding Rocker D’Ysieux (Crown Z x Royal Feu) in 64.58 seconds.
Passing to the representatives of the Pan-American Ranking, none of its members managed to finish within the points with the Americans Taylor Alexander and Laura Kraut, occupying the best places in 27th for Alexander with the 11-year-old gelding Gipsy King (Wandor van de Mispelaere x Devina) in 4 fouls and 34th by Kraut with the 8-year-old mare Caelle (Clinton x Darco) accumulating 8 fouls.
For the Latino Ranking Rene López of Colombia was not on his best day, completing a oblivion course in 33 fouls and occupying the 61st position with the 9-year-old gelding Univers de Maugre (Calvaro x Umour du Fenaud).
