Dutch rider Williem Greve secured a fast jump-off round to secure victory at the CSI3* Top Series Grand Prix at Knokke Hippique.
Conformed by 56 pairs, the course designed by Elio Travagliati of Italy of which 9 riders were able to qualify for the jump-off, Williem Greve led the 14-year-old stallion Carambole N.O.P. (San Patrignano Cassini x Concerto 4) owned by G.A.M. Korbeld, to record a time of 45.43 seconds.
Hard fight in the first positions, where the top five finishes were dismissed with double clear rounds, being escorted Williem Greve who took 80 World Ranking Points by the French Nicolas Delmotte next to the 9-year-old stallion Ilex VP (Diamant de Semilly x Darco) in 45.81 seconds and third place Ben Maher of Great Britain finished in 46.78 seconds with the 10-year-old mare Mtf Madame X (Continio x Corland) while Irishman Peter Moloney was fourth with the 14-year-old gelding d’Atlantique Royale (Udarco x Kannan) in 47.47 seconds.
The last double clear round and being the best representative of the Pan American Ranking was the American rider Sayre Happy alongside the 9-year-old mare Dolinn (Cardento x Lux) marking a time of 53.03 seconds.
By the Latino Ranking Rodrigo Pessoa of Brazil managed to score FEI Ranking Points, finishing in the 12th place with the 9-year-old gelding Chagnus (Chacco-Blue x Carthago), in field of 4 fouls and 80.78 seconds.
