Dutch rider Williem Greve took the win at the €25,000 Opglabbeek Grand Prix in Belgium, securing 50 World Ranking Points.
Closing the CSI2* Opglabbeek week, Dutch Williem Greve completed an excellent jump-off round with 10-year-old mare Zypria S (Canturo x Lux Z) owned by Julius-Peter Sinnack, stopping the clock in 37.91 seconds.
After completing a regular round with 73 pairs in a course designed by German Olaf Herrmann, only qualified 9 riders tiebreaker, where Williem Greve led the group with his speedy round and overtaking the German rider Marcel Marschall with his 12-year-old mare Fenia Van Klapscheut (Cicero Z Van Paemel x Ahorn Z), achieving a time of 38.38 seconds and for third place Emil Hallundbaek from Denmark accompanied by the 16-year-old stallion Uno’s Safier (Number One x Love) in 38.41 seconds.
The fourth and fifth place would be occupied by house riders, being the fourth place for Annelies Vorsselmans with the 11-year-old gelding Wilandro 3 (Unistar x Ramazotti) and fifth place was Jos Lansink with the 9-year-old gelding Valdelamadre Clooney (Centeuer Z).
By the Latino Ranking Colombian rider Santiago Díaz Ortega stood out in sixth place, completing his jump-off round in 4 fouls and fastest time of the decisive round in 35.22 seconds, appearing with the 9-year-old gelding Carlson (Calido I x Silvio I). Also the Brazilian rider Yuri Mansur finished inside the points in 12th position with the 12-year-old gelding Ferro Chin vh Lindenhof (Chin Chin x Nimmerdor), being penalized with 1 fault when exceeding the time allowed.
Also Brazilian Cassio Rivetti knocked down a pole in the regular round, completing his field in 4 fouls next to 9-year-old stallion Ulahop Boy (Lamm of Fetan x Kannan) in 20th place.
