Brazilian rider Yuri Mansur commanded the €24,600 Negrita Cup to win 50 World Ranking Points by taking a lead of 5 hundredths of a second.

The speed class on course designed by Spaniard Santiago Varela had the total protagonism of the Latino Ranking representative Yuri Mansur, when it stopped the clock in 60.11 seconds with the 10-year-old gelding Inferno (Incolor x Italic Des Salines).

After participating in the Challenge Cup with his country by not qualifying for the Longines FEI Nations Cup Jumping Final, today Yuri Mansur surpassed Sweden’s Rolf-Göran Bengtsson in a close final with his 9-year-old gelding Oak Grove’s Carlyle (Casall x Corrado I) in time of 60.16 seconds and third place also Swedish Douglas Lindelöw with the 9-year-old stallion Amrod (Amaretto IV Dz x Cellestial) completed the course in 62.72 seconds.

Simone Blum of Germany followed in fourth place along with the 16-year-old gelding Flying Boy 20 (Fly High I x Sao Paulo) in 62.72 seconds and fifth place by the Pan American Ranking US rider Chloe Reid, registered a time of 64.25 seconds with the 10-year-old stallion Codarco (Darco x Orame).

For the Latino Ranking with the outstanding performance of the winner Yuri Mansur, his countryman Luiz Felipe de Azevedo Filho with the 11-yar-old mare Berdina (Untouchable x Naturel) failed to score points, despite a fast time of 59.87 seconds, but he had 8 fouls in 23rd place and this week winner’s Eduardo Menezes, did not decipher the course question well, opting to retire with the 13-year-old mare Caruschka 2 (Caspar x Continue).

Returning again with Yuri Mansur, the Brazilian added his 11th FEI victory, where currently occupies the World Number 52 and Latino Ranking Number 3.
